More than 8,000 drugs are covered by the public drug insurance plan. They are included in a regularly updated list.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exception drug measure<\/strong> enables the entire population to obtain coverage for certain specific drugs. For each of these drugs, the indications recognized for reimbursement are listed in the appendix to the Drug List.<\/a> This list is updated periodically, which may lead to the addition or withdrawal of certain exceptional drugs, or to changes in the indications recognized for reimbursement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To obtain authorization for an exception drug, the insured person must obtain prior approval from the R\u00e9gie. A request for payment authorization<\/strong> must be submitted by an authorized prescriber<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
