{"id":6941,"date":"2025-04-28T01:44:35","date_gmt":"2025-04-28T01:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.aqcamo.ca\/support\/"},"modified":"2025-05-19T00:57:52","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T00:57:52","slug":"support","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staging.aqcamo.ca\/en\/support\/","title":{"rendered":"Support"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"gb-element-a01151f5 remonter-bloc\">\n<div class=\"gb-element-2590f279\">\n<div class=\"gb-element-4a0d91b5\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc8a Financial assistance and reimbursement  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2696\ufe0f Regulations in force since April 15, 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As of <strong>April 15, 2021<\/strong>, <strong>manufacturers<\/strong>, <strong>recognized wholesalers<\/strong> or <strong>intermediaries<\/strong> are prohibited from paying for or reimbursing, in whole or in part, a drug or supply covered by the <strong>R\u00e9gime g\u00e9n\u00e9ral d&#8217;assurance m\u00e9dicaments (RGAM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This prohibition applies :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>People insured by <strong>RAMQ<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And to those covered by <strong>private or group insurance<\/strong>, for any product on <strong>the Drug Benefit List<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u274c Drugs not eligible for financial assistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is no longer possible to offer financial assistance for medication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Having a generic or biosimilar version<\/strong> (e.g. Everolimus, Abiraterone, Filgrastim, Pegfilgrastim),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regardless of the type of insurance the patient has (public or private).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2705 Permitted exceptions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistance may still be granted for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Drugs listed in Schedule V<\/strong> of the RAMQ List for which the <strong>Lowest Price (LPP)<\/strong> does not apply<br\/><em>(e.g. Leuprolide, Lithium, 5-ASA, Levothyroxine, Theophylline, Cyclosporine, certain insulins, Methylphenidate)<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drugs <strong>without a generic or biosimilar version registered<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prescription with <strong>NPS &#8211; Do not substitute<\/strong> with <strong>adequate justification<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cases where financial assistance was <strong>already in place before April 15, 2021<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>\u23f3 When the drug becomes subject to <strong>SCH<\/strong>, a <strong>30-day delay<\/strong> is allowed before assistance is discontinued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udd1d Patient Support Programs (PSP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PSPs can :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Facilitate treatment initiation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer <strong>financial support<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help with compliance and follow-up,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer <strong>personalized resources<\/strong> to patients and healthcare professionals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Objective: to guarantee <strong>rapid access to<\/strong> treatment with <strong>minimal financial burden<\/strong> for the patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcd1 RAMQ assistance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some <strong>RAMQ<\/strong> programs offer :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Financial or technical assistance<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Free<\/strong> services or medication (according to eligibility).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 See <a>Exception Drug Reimbursement<\/a> for criteria and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\uddfe For community pharmacists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Patient and Exceptional Medicines<\/strong> platform enables :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Consult the status of<\/strong> authorization requests,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search by <strong>name or NAM<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And display all requests processed or expired in the <strong>last year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-element-80131681\">\n<div class=\"gb-element-99ba820f\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">USEFUL LINKS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramq.gouv.qc.ca\/fr\/professionnels\/pharmaciens\/medicaments\/medicaments-patient-exception\/Pages\/index-formulaires-mc.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Payment authorization request &#8211;
